Altai Sadikhzade is widely known as a painter, but he also deals with graphics and stage decorations. The artist has been deliberately realizing his ideas in his monumental three-dimensional art objects - a series of metal welded structures "Mechanics of Space". They are like high-dimensional paintings. They are an example of how the artist realized and discovered the world through multi-colored, self-creating text, filled with numerous mechanisms, hieroglyphs, esoteric messages, palm branches, anthropomorphic machines, extraterrestrial "guardians", star finders and people.
Altai Sadikhzade presented his monumental "cosmic" paintings and sculptures at the 54th Venice Biennale (2011) in Azerbaijan's pavilion.
The audience could see and appreciate the idea of humanity in the view of other worlds. It is clear that the possibilities of personal freedom and creativity are endless and do not tolerate any restrictions.
Altai Sadikhzade is the author of the architectural design concept of the Modern Art Museum in Baku. The inner area of the museum was deliberately created in avant garde - inclined walls, the lack of doors and corners. All this allowed combining the building of the museum, the art itself and the art works stored there into a living organism. The artist's sculpted metal structures, his installations and canvases are represented in the museum. He also participated in the selection of the works to include them in the museum collection.
